THINK SNOW

We can not stress enough the importance of being SAFE!

The High Ledge Snow Stormers are having a cookout at Fabian's shack on corr 4 in
W. Rutland on Sat Jan 14, from 12 noon until around 5 pm, snow or no snow.  The
area can be accessed by snowmobile or family vehicle.  There will be parking for vehicles
and designated parking areas for snowmobiles too.  The planned activities are, a snocross
track for 120 size kids snowmobiles, snowmobile safety inspections by the State Police
auxiliary, huge bonfire, and a good meal.  It is open to all county members and WR land-
owners.  There will be a porta potti on site, and an area to warm up.  So, come early and
stay late.

Latest News:

Update

OMYA has decided to allow snowmobiling on their properties for this (2011-2012) winter season.  But not after this season, so, it looks like the affected clubs (Proctor and Pittsford) will have to be planning new routes during the offseason.

We have replaced the decks on two bridges on the trolley line part of corr 4, and will check out the other bridges on the trolley line to make sure they're in good shape too. The decision from OMYA is expected sometime this month, (Dec.) regarding trail closures in Proctor and Pittsford, naturally we're hoping for a positive outcome. VAST has sent them additional insurance information they requested, so, hopefully that's a good sign.
